Answering Machine: AI answers for your team in Slack
Answering Machine is an AI assistant that answers your team's questions in Slack, drawing only on your company's own connected documents (Google Drive, Notion, Confluence) and expert-approved answers. It shows citations for every answer and never uses your data to train AI models.
How it works
Connect the knowledge sources your team already uses and pick the Slack channels the bot should watch. When someone asks a question in one of those channels, Answering Machine finds the answer in your own material and replies in the thread with citations. If it isn't confident, it stays silent rather than guessing. When one of your experts answers instead, that reply can be saved to a verified answer bank in one click, so the same question never costs your team twice.
What makes it different
There is no wiki to write first. The answer bank fills itself from the documents you already have plus the answers your experts give in the course of normal work. Pricing is flat per workspace rather than per seat, because the product only works when the whole team is covered. Recurring questions nobody has answered surface as knowledge gaps so your experts know what to write down next.
Security and privacy
Your content is never used to train AI models, ours or anyone else's. Data is encrypted in transit and credentials are encrypted at rest, access is workspace-isolated at every layer, retention is configurable, and administrative actions are audit-logged. We align our controls to SOC 2 and HIPAA standards as an internal benchmark; we have not completed formal audits and do not claim certification.
